After many years of staying with various chain motels in Edinburgh with work we recently started using the Brooks, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
First the staff are friendly and welcoming when you arrive, they also know the area and city very well and will recommend places to eat and drink.
The rooms are clean and well decorated. I've always had a shower in my bathroom (no bath) and although the bathroom is compact, it is more than adequate.The rooms I've stayed in ave had a large bed with a desk, TV etc. There's not a lot of room for sitting around but if you want to sit in your room not only are you staying in the wrong hotel you're also in the wrong city,
It's well worth getting the breakfast - superb! Try the breakfast shots - fruit, yoghurt and granola in a shot glass, mmmmm. There's also cooked breakfast choices, muffins, toast etc.
.As I said at the beginning I can't recommend this hotel enough; my only worry is everyone will catch on and we won't get in when we want!
